Title: Running Backs Coach

Coach Foster is entering his first season as the Running Backs coach at Iowa Central coming from Ellsworth Community College. During his four year tenure at ECC he coached fifteen All-Conference defensive lineman including one earning All-American honors in 2016 in Louy Compton. Compton finished 4th in the country in sacks with 13.5 his sophomore season and accumulated a total of 21.5 sacks with an additional 32 TFL’s in his two year career under Foster’s guidance.

While coaching defensive line at ECC Foster helped architect a Panther defense in 2016 that held opponents to 296.8 total yds/gm (22nd), surrendered 166.4 passing yds/gm (18th), while giving up 22.09 offensive pts/gm (22nd). Along with the 27 takeaways and 38 sacks, the defense also blocked 4 PATs and returned them for 2 points.

In the spring of 2015 Foster had a short stint as a Graduate Assistant at Southwest Minnesota State where he coached Linebackers. At SMSU he helped recruit a remarkable class of 2015 and signed one of his former standout defensive lineman at ECC in the 2014 season, Kevin Rubin. Rubin became an immediate impact and starter on the defensive line for the next two seasons. Foster then returned back to Ellsworth Community College for the 2015 season to team back up with Head Coach Jesse Montalto.

Foster graduated from Winona State University, where he played outside linebacker. He also played one year at Ellsworth as a running back in 2008, when he was part of a Graphic Edge bowl victory with the Panthers.
