Gregg Haden enters his 7th year as head coach of the bowling program and 10th as a coach at Iowa Central.
In the program’s history, the men have won the NJCAA Men’s Championship, placed with 3-3rd’s and a 4th and the 2016-2017 season with a Runner-Up at the NJCAA Nationals. The women have placed 2nd, 3rd, 2-4th, 9th and a Runner-Up placing in the 2016-2017 season. The women’s team were an Academic All-American team in 2014-2015 with a 3.0 GPA while the men were Academic All-American team in 2015-2016 with a team GPA of 3.24.
Iowa Central’s success hasn’t been limited to just the two-year college ranks either. The Triton men have qualified for the United States Bowling Congress Nationals six times finishing sixth in 2018 at the Dallas Sectionals and the women have qualified three times. The USBC ranks every collegiate bowling program regardless of size each year. The top 80 Men’s and top 64 Women’s programs get invited to compete in a season-ending national tournament.
Haden serves as the Assistant Athletic Director at Iowa Central. He is married to Jill Haden and has two daughters, Jennie and Jamie.
