Saturday was the 46th annual All-American Invitational hosted by Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. 8 teams raced in the women's division while 10 teams raced in the men's. Both the Triton Women and the Triton Men came away victorious with Abeba Sullivan and Awet Yohannes winning their respective races.
Sullivan crossed the finish line first in 18:39 and Iowa Central would have 5 of the top 7 finishers with Winrose Chesang finishing 2nd (18:46:7), Marion Bartilol finishing 3rd (18:47.2), Lilian Busienei finishing 6th (19:16.4), and Florance Uwajeneza finishing 7th (19:17.3). The Tritons finished with 19 points, with runner's up St. Thomas coming in with 51 points, and 3rd place finisher Loras with 84 poitns.
Yohannes crossed the finish line first in 20:21.6 and the Triton Men had 5 of the top 6 finishers with Ezekiel Kipchirchir finishing 3rd (20:22.8), Jhordan Ccope finishing 4th (20:27.0), Innocent Murwanashyaka finishing 5th (20:27.0), and Milos Pendic finishing 6th (20:38.6). Iowa Central finished with 19 points, with runner's up Luther Alumni finishing with 73 points, and 3rd place Loras finshing with 74 points.
"Two great team performances by both squads today. We held back a bit the first mile and then played catch-up. Our teams moved real well in their packs. I am very proud of the work we have put in so far. We are in middle of our toughest two weeks of the season at the moment, yet they still ran well," said Coach Dee Brown.

The Tritons return to action Friday, September 21st at the Brissmann-Lundeen Invite in Rock Island, Illinois and Saturday, September 22nd at the University of Arkansas Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
