The Iowa Central softball team stretched their early-season win streak to six with a sweep of Labette here Saturday.
Scores were 10-3 and 15-5 in favor of the Tritons (8-3 overall).
In the opener, Fort Dodge Senior High grads and former all-staters Maggie Harvey and Bre Tjebben each hit a homer. Tjebben and Parker Mathews finished with three RBI each, while Harvey had two.
Abbie Thilges had two runs and stole two bases in support of Kayla Wookey, as she earned the win with three strikeouts inside the circle. Mathews and Tjebben also each scored twice.
Mackenzie Rosenboom provided the offense in the nightcap, going 3-for-4 with two homers, six RBI and two runs scored. Harvey, Tjebben and Sophie Cave all went deep as well.
Tjebben had three hits, scores twice and drove in two, Harvey had two hits and scored twice, and Cave had two hits, two RBI and two runs.
Iowa Central returns to action Sunday at Ottawa JV.
