Tritons aim to defend Hodges Fieldhouse on Sophomore Night

The Iowa Central Tritons (13-12, 4-8 ICCAC) will host the Warriors of Little Priest Tribal College (12-13, 3-9 ICCAC) on Wednesday, February 20th for Sophomore Night at 5:30PM. The Midwest is expected to receive more wintry weather this evening, so a final decision on the game time will be confirmed tomorrow morning.

Iowa Central will look to send off their seven sophomores: Brittany West, Avery Terwilliger, Kira Ward, Tierra Itula, Shariah Smith, Jescenia Mosley, and Kryssie Okinaka with a win. The sophomores will be honored during halftime of the Iowa Central Men's Basketball game. Tomorrow's contest will be the final, regular season home doubleheader for the Tritons Basketball programs.

Last Time Out:

Iowa Central snapped a five-game losing skid with an 85-74 win over the Southwestern Spartans in Hodges Fieldhouse on February 16th. Five Tritons scored in double figures as the team shook up their traditional rotation due to Avery Terwilliger and Tierra Itula being out with injuries.

Little Priest overcame two straight ICCAC losses to Southwestern and North Iowa Area to defeat the Ellsworth Panthers 97-77 in Winnebago. The Warriors are currently led in scoring (14.8ppg) and rebounding (6.2 rpg) by Talia Paytiamo. The Warriors are coached by Leonard Erickson, who is at his third season at the helm of the women's basketball program.

Up Next:

Iowa Central will travel to Iowa Falls, IA for a 1:00PM tip off against the Ellsworth Panthers (0-26, 0-13 ICCAC).

Any changes to the expected game schedule tomorrow will be updated via Iowa Central Women's Basketball social media accounts.
