Tritons open up outdoor season at Arkansas Spring Invitational
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Iowa Central track and field team opened its 2018 outdoor season with two new school records, four event champions, and 16 National Qualifiers at the Arkansas Spring Invitational at John McDonnell Field on Saturday.  Adva Cohen's winning time of 4:21.57 was not only a school record, but an NJCAA record as well.  Eric Maymon also broke a school record with his height of 4.65m/15-3" in the pole vault.  Along with Cohen's victory in the 1500, Phemelo Matlhabe won the men's 400 meter dash with a time of 47.11, Brian Bell crossed the finish line first with a time of 1:53.22 in the 800 meter run, and Malik Beverly's time of 13.84 in the 110 meter hurdles was also the fastest in that event.
