Tritons compete at University of Arkansas

The Triton Track and Field team opened up their outdoor season this weekend at the University of Arkansas Spring Invitational in Fayetteville, Arkansas at John McDonnell Field.  The Tritons had strong showings as they qualified for the National Championships in 15 events.  Iowa Central had three event winners at the meet, with Cameron Mustafa's winning triple jump with a mark of 14.02m; Courtney Lindsey's winning 100 Meter Dash with a time of 10.36; and Lea Grady's winning Shot Put with a throw of 14.21m. 

 

New National Qualifiers for the Tritons were:     

 

Courtney Lindsey – 100 Meter Dash, 200 Meter Dash

Ethan Smith – 400 Meter Dash

Thomas Bryant – 800 Meter Run

Awet Yohannes – 1500 Meter Run

Noah Bundrock – Steeple Chase

4 x 100 Meter Relay – Courtney Lindsey, David Dunlap, Demetrius Lassiter, Kris Brown

Akeem Bradshaw – Long Jump

Caden Fenchel – Shot Put

Tyler Lienau – Discus & Hammer

 

Women's 4 x 100 Meter Relay – Jocelyn Huffman, Tatyana McKenzie, Tamara Roby, Marjanae Coley

Lea Grady – Shot Put

Maddie Schmoker – Shot Put, Hammer
