Dorfmeyer Named 2nd Team All-American

Colorado Springs, CO - Hayli Dorfmeyer (Fremont, NE), a sophomore for the Iowa Central Community College Tritons, has been named to the NJCAA All-American 2nd Team.  Dorfmeyer was also named 1st Team ICCAC All-Conference and 1st Team All-Region.  Hayli was a leader for the Tritons this year, who finished the regular season ranked #20 in the NJCAA.  This year Hayli tallied 330 kills with a .261 hitting efficiency, 22 service aces, 69 digs, and 65 blocks.

Hayli was a 2nd year starter this year, finishing last year's campaign notching 2nd Team All-Region as a freshmen.  This season, Hayli moved from the middle blocking position to a Rightside Attacker, where she was able to be matched up against teams' strong outside hitters, as well as get a bigger approach and take more out of system swings.

"Hayli did a great job this year of transitioning from the middle to the rightside.  She became more of an offensive threat for us as well as put up a big time block on the rightside.  Hayli has the potential to be a great player at the next level and I really enjoyed coaching her these past two years", said head coach Sara Horn
