SIOUX CITY - The Iowa Central cross country team was in action here Saturday at the Briar Cliff Invitational.
Pur Biel scored a runner-up finish to lead three Tritons in the Top-10 and the team to overall gold once more. Iowa Central scored just 24 team points with Dordt placing second and Iowa Western third.
Kelvin Bungei was fourth overall and Hunter Klimek finished in ninth. Biel had a time of 24:18, Bungei went 24:32 and Klimek 24:51.
Chris Levario was 15th, Mohamed Mohamud 20th and Demetrius Kaquoatos 25th.
On the women's side, Eleonora Curtabbi placed second overall, finishing the 5K event in 17:07. Kate Miron was 24th overall and Josie Stackis finished in 52nd for the Tritons, who were fifth in the team standings.
Iowa Central runs again Saturday at the NAIA Stampede in Cedar Rapids.
