Major Williams made an instant impact on the Iowa Central defense upon his arrival.

Now, the nation is taking note.

Williams was tabbed the NJCAA Football Defensive Player of the Week after returning an interception for a score and recording seven tackles in a 62-20 victory for the Tritons over Ellsworth last week.

On the season, Williams has 33 tackles. 

Iowa Central heads to Fayette and Upper Iowa University this Saturday to face ASA Miami before closing out the year at Dodger Stadium on Saturday, May 29 vs. New Mexico Military in the Graphic Edge Bowl.
