Iowa Central Triton Athletics to Hold First-Ever Football Reunion Weekend
Iowa Central Triton Athletics will be hosting a Triton Football Reunion this fall on August 27-29, 2026. It will be a weekend of reconnecting with teammates, reminiscing with coaches and friends, and celebrating the proud history of Triton Football – both on and off the field.

"The helmets may come off, but the bond built at Iowa Central never fades. Tradition never changes — let's welcome the new staff and continue building the the Triton Football legacy at Iowa Central, said Triton Athletic Director, Guy Horn. "I hope everyone takes advantage of the opportunity to get out and be part of the future of Iowa Central Football and reminisce about the past memories here."

The reunion weekend will include a welcome reception in the new Triton Athletic Complex, golf at the Fort Dodge Country Club, campus tours, dinner & social hour by the Iowa Central Culinary Department, and Triton Football vs. Butler on Saturday (8/29) afternoon at Dodger Stadium.

New Triton Football Head Coach, Colby Kratch, will take the field for the first time during the reunion weekend. "I think weekends like the one we are kicking off the 2026 football season with are what makes college football so special," said Kratch. "It's a chance to connect the past, present and future of Iowa Central football. I'm excited to learn from all the great players and leaders that have paved the way for our program!"

"Iowa Central football has been respected at the national level for over six decades," said former Triton Football Head Coach and Athletic Director, Kevin Twait. "No matter what era that you had the privilege of wearing the navy and white, all of our past Triton football squad members are part of an extremely proud tradition. We hope to see everyone back to cheer on the Tritons in Coach Kratch's first game as the Tritons' Head Coach."

Costs for the weekend will be $50 per day for food and four drink tickets, $100 for golf, and lodging is available at the Sleep Inn by calling 515-302-6993. All proceeds raised during the weekend will go towards the new Sports Performance Center that is being built on campus. The Sports Performance Center will be the new home for Triton Football, Athletic Training, and our exercise science classes.

"Having a great football program starts with a modern designed Sports Performance Center. Building tradition starts in the locker room where hours are spent together with your teammates building teamwork and leaders for the future," said former Triton Football standout, Will Shupe. "This new modern designed Sports Performance Center will take Triton Football to the next level and greatly assist in recruiting top talent to Iowa."

Whether you can join us for one day, two days, or all three days of the reunion weekend, we certainly hope that you can find a way to come back to Fort Dodge and take part in this great event," said Twait. "What a great opportunity for former Tritons to reconnect with their teammates and coaches and to see the unbelievable changes that have taken place on our campus. Let's make new memories while honoring the legacy we all share."
