The Iowa Central men now set their sights on postseason play after concluding the regular season here Saturday night vs. Kirkwood.
In a back-and-forth affair throughout, the No. 20 Eagles pulled away late for an 84-73 victory inside Hodges Fieldhouse.
"Ayris, Javonte and Cham have done everything asked of them these last two seasons to make themselves better student-athletes and the program better," Iowa Central head coach Chad Helle said. "Uzo came in this year as a transfer and did the exact same. They've been a pleasure to coach."
Kirkwood, which snapped a two-game skid with the win, was led by 27 points from Corvon Seales. Seales had 17 of the first 25 for the Eagles, who out-rebounded the Tritons, 41-23.
"It's tough when you don't have much size and you are fighting with everything you have for every loose ball," Helle said. "Our guys never backed down and fought all night, just like they have done all year. We'll focus on Tuesday now and hopefully put a complete game together."
A 13-4 run to close the first half gave Iowa Central a 37-36 lead. Ngambi came in and scored 14, including seven during the final run.
In the second half, Kirkwood's size wore the Tritons down. Blessin Kimble posted 10 of his 17 points during the final 20 minutes, finishing with a double-double (10 rebounds).
Keck led Iowa Central with six boards and also had two assists and a steal, Abdelnassar dished out four assists and Jaxon Smith scored seven points.
