Four Tritons Capture ICCAC Athlete of the Week Honors

Peyton Walker – Iowa Central – Sophomore
Iowa Central's Peyton Walker captured first place at the Tritons' home meet with a two-round score of 139 (-3). He opened with an even-par round before firing a bogey-free 68 (-3) in the final round. Walker's performance secured the individual title and included three birdies in his final round. He also recorded a ninth-place finish at the DMACC Spring Invitational earlier in the week.

Okira Quintero – Iowa Central – Freshman
Iowa Central's Okira Quintero put together a dominant performance at the Tritons' home meet, earning Athlete of the Week honors with a tournament win. Across two rounds, Quintero showed consistency and control, finishing with scores of 77 (+5) and 76 (+4). She led the field with 22 pars and added three birdies, keeping a steady pace that no one else could match. Quintero posted the lowest score on both days of the tournament, and her lead was never seriously threatened as she cruised to the victory.

Haydn Stockdale – Iowa Central – Sophomore – Hammer Throw, Discus, Shot Put
Iowa Central's Haydn Stockdale delivered another strong week at the Grizzly Gold Invite. He set a personal best in the Hammer Throw with a mark of 62.33 meters, leading the NJCAA this season. He also recorded a personal best in the Discus with a throw of 47.75 meters. His Hammer Throw ranks second in school history and is top 10 all-time in NJCAA history. Stockdale also competed in the Shot Put with a throw of 15.05 meters.

U'nitee Brown – Iowa Central – Sophomore – Shot Put, Discus, Hammer Throw
Iowa Central's U'nitee Brown hit two national qualifying marks this past week at the Grizzly Gold Invite. She won the Shot Put with a mark of 14.26 meters. She also recorded a personal best in the Discus with a throw of 41.38 meters. Brown added another personal best in the Hammer Throw at 37.18 meters.
