Iowa Central freshman Kirubel Yerga has been named the NJCAA Div. I Men's Soccer Player of the Week.

Yerga helped the Tritons go 2-1 during the week, scoring five goals with five assists, including a game-winner.

The newcomer is currently the NJCAA leader in points, goals and assists.

Iowa Central hosts North Iowa Area on Saturday at 3 p.m.
