Outstanding Performances Lead Four Tritons to ICCAC Honors

Said Rifi Loutfi – Iowa Central – Sophomore – Mile, 800 Meters
Said Rifi Loutfi hit two national qualifying marks this past week, earning a time in the mile that currently sits atop the NJCAA. At the Hawkeye Invite, Loutfi competed in the mile and 800 meters, placing first and runner-up, respectively. In the mile, Loutfi ran a time of 4:10.60, which hit the national qualifying mark and would have placed seventh at last season's NJCAA Indoor Championships. Loutfi also ran a personal best of 1:53.89 in the 800 meters, which also met the national qualifying mark.

Haydn Stockdale – Iowa Central – Sophomore – Weight Throw
It was a great opening indoor meet of 2026 for Haydn Stockdale as he set a strong personal best in the weight throw. At the Hawkeye Invite, Stockdale recorded a throw of 19.27 meters. The mark was a personal best, currently leads the NJCAA and would have placed third at last year's NJCAA Indoor Championships. At the invite, Stockdale placed fifth in the weight throw, finishing behind four Division I athletes.

Chadrak Belinda Bula Bula – Iowa Central – Sophomore – 400 Meters, 4x400 Meter Relay
Chadrak Belinda Bula Bula was at her best this past week at the Hawkeye Invite, earning two first-place finishes. She competed in the 400 meters and the 4x400 relay, posting marks in both that currently rank first in the NJCAA. In the 400 meters, she recorded a personal best of 55.96. In the 4x400 relay, Bula Bula and her Triton teammates posted a time of 3:51.39, less than half a second behind a relay team from the University of Iowa.

Jordan Cain – Iowa Central – Sophomore – Guard
Facing the top competition in the country in the same week, Iowa Central played the third- and fourth-ranked teams in Division II this season. Jordan Cain was the star of both games, earning Athlete of the Week honors for the second consecutive week. Cain, on the road at No. 4 Ellsworth, posted a double-double with 33 points and 11 rebounds to win the game 91-83. Closing out the week against No. 3 Johnson County (Kan.), Cain scored 30 with seven assists, five rebounds and four steals, but a 3-point shot with five seconds on the clock sank the Tritons, 91-89. Cain shot 10 of 22 from 3-point range, good for 45% for the week.
