West earned the top player award after averaging a double-double for Iowa Central this past season at 19.6 points and 13.5 rebounds. Both those numbers led the conference.
The sophomore from Minnesota, who has committed to Murray State, shot nearly 52 percent from the field and over 41 percent from the 3-point line. West ranks first in the country in total rebounds, second in field goals and third in points.
Three times this season, West had games with 20 points and 20 rebounds. She scored a season-high 34 points vs. Southeastern and had 23 rebounds vs. Iowa Lakes.
Galloway, who led the conference in blocked shots, was named the leading defensive player. The sophomore from Minnesota ranks first in the nation in blocked shots with 77.
A transfer from Bemidji State, Galloway is averaging 12 points and nearly eight rebounds per game. She ranks seventh in defensive rebounds in the nation and 45th in scoring.
Dykstra, a freshman, posts eight points and four rebounds a night, shooting almost 49 percent from the 3-point line, which ranks fifth. West, also a freshman, averages just under 11 points with five rebounds and 2.6 assists, shooting nearly 42 percent from the field.
Iowa Central claimed the Region XI-B Tournament title over the weekend, earning a bid to the NJCAA Div. II National Tournament, which will be held later this month in North Carolina.
