Five members of the Iowa Central wrestling team were honored as NJCAA All-Americans, the league announced.
Jose Rodriguez, the 174-pound national champion this past year, made the first team for the Tritons. Second team status went to runners-up Bret Minor, Keaton Geerts and Jorden Pryor, with Aidan Harris making honorable mention.
Minor made the 141-pound championship match with Geerts doing the same at 165. Pryor advanced to the heavyweight final while Harris placed fourth, reeling off six consecutive wins at one point in the tournament at 125 pounds.
Iowa Central placed third overall, earning the 12th Top-3 finish under head coach Luke Moffitt. They have finished in the Top-8 at nationals each of the past 17 years.
As a conference, the ICCAC had 15 wrestlers earn All-American recognition, including four on the first-team.
