Former Triton Meauri makes Olympic team

Judith Meauri is headed to the upcoming 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo to compete in the 50 freestyle.

Meauri, a former Iowa Central student-athlete who swam for the Tritons from 2011-12, will be representing Papua New Guinea at the games, which begin July 23. 

The 50-meter prelims are set for July 30. 

During the 2012 Summer Olympics, Meauri also swam the 50, finishing in 47th overall. She has swum at major international events for nearly a decade including the FINA World Championships and Commonwealth Games.
