Iowa City-  The Triton Track and Field team kicked off their indoor season at the University of Iowa Hawkeye Invitational this weekend.  Three Tritons were event winners, including Courtney Lindsey's meet and school record 60 meter performance at 6.67. Other top 5 performances on the women's side included Tatyana McKenzie's 5^th place finish in the 60 meter dash (7.85), Florance Uwajeneza's 2^nd place finish in the 3000 meter run (10:18.60), and Lilian Busienei's 3^rd place finish in the 3000 meter run (10:20.36). 

For the Men, Kris Brown finished 4^th in the 60 meter dash in 6.89, Milos Pendic crossed 1^st in the 3000 meter run at 8:39.80, with Innocent Murwanashyaka finishing 2^nd in 8:44.21, and Awet Yohannes coming in 4^th in 8:46.47.  The 4 x 400 Relay team of RJ Williams, Courtney Lindsey, Ethan Smith, and Demetrius Lassiter were National Qualifiers with their 5^th place finishing time of 3:18.83.  Za'Quan Singleton finished 1^st in the Triple jump with a distance of 13.87m (45-06.25 ft), Marcellous Johnson finished 3^rd (13.61m / 44-08.0 ft), and Richard Brown finished 5^th (13.12m / 43-00.50 ft).  Tyler Lienau rounded out the top 5 finishes with his 4^th place finish in the Weight Throw with a distance of 18.48m (60-07.75 ft).
