Triton Track & Field Battle Tough Conditions in Nebraska and Kansas
A split squad for the Tritons with competitons at the Husker Spring Kick Off in Lincoln, NE and the Emporia State Midwest Classic in Emporia, KS.
Coaches Corner
"In Nebraska the conditions were very tough today, cold, windy and rainy; a Midwest trifecta of bad weather. While it is hard to get a lot accomplished on a day like today it does do one thing real well. Poor conditions help you find the true colors of some of the athletes on your team. We had a handful of athletes that really showed their grit, either having personal records or putting the effort in that on any other day would have been a huge pr. I saw Alivia Edens run the absolute best race of her life today, completely locked in the entire way. Efforts like that make the trip well worth it." – Coach Dee Brown, Director of XC/TF
"We had a couple of goals at the multi this weekend. For some it was to qualify for the national meet and for others it was to complete their first outdoor multi. What's awesome about our team is that kids with these two very different goals come together and help each other." - Head Track and Field Coach, Anne Cleary
