Anderson, Johnson make history

Kealey Anderson and Alesha Johnson made more history, becoming just the third and fourth Iowa Central volleyball players to be named All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.

The Triton standouts were named to the third team for two-year college players. They join Alicia Moreno and Gabby Sullivan in earning the award and are the first duo to be named AVCA All-American in the same year.

"I am so proud of what Kealey and Alesha have accomplished," Iowa Central head coach Sara Horn said. "They put in the work and are being rewarded for the long hours and extra time they committed to getting better and helping the team reach new heights."

Johnson, who was also named the ICCAC Player of the Year and earned NJCAA Div. II All-American honors, and Anderson, a two-time NJCAA Div. II All-American, helped the Tritons finish third at nationals this past spring.
