The Iowa Central volleyball team will start the 2021 season ranked third in NJCAA Div. II.

After finishing third at nationals in the spring, the Tritons return several key players including, reigning ICCAC Player of the Year, Alesha Johnson, and ICCAC Newcomer of the Year, Angel Baylark.

Johnson County is first and Parkland second. Both are on the schedule for Iowa Central.

Conference rivals Kirkwood (eighth), Hawkeye (10th) and Des Moines Area (16th) will be trying to end the three-year run atop the league for the Tritons.

Iowa Central plays this Friday and Saturday in a tournament in Rockford, Illinois against Rock Valley, No. 11 Grand Rapids, Terra State and Waubonsee. They are set to make their home debut on Tuesday, August 24 vs. Briar Cliff JV.
