Iowa Central's Baylyn Johnson has been named the NJCAA Div. II Defensive Player of the Week.

Johnson averaged 4.2 digs per set with eight serving aces as the top-ranked Tritons remained unbeaten on the court last week. 

The Algona native has 431 digs and 34 serving aces on the year. Johnson has played in 69 matches for Iowa Central, recording 838 career digs and 49 aces. 

Iowa Central hosts Kirkwood Wednesday night inside Hodges Fieldhouse at 7 p.m.
