A hat-trick and an upset of #1 lead to ICCAC Honors

McKenna Hilton – Iowa Central – Sophomore – Forward
To open the Region 11 Tournament, McKenna Hilton put on a show in an 8-0 win over NIACC. A key player in the game, Hilton contributed to half the goals scored in the match. It didn't take long for Hilton to get going as the first three goals of the game completed her hat-trick, as she went on to also get an assist later in the match. Hilton now has 11 goals and seven assists in 2025. The Tritons face Northeast in the Region 11 Semifinals on Wednesday.

Anabel Seaman – Iowa Central – Sophomore – Setter
A big week in Fort Dodge as Anabel Seaman helped lead Iowa Central past No. 1 Kirkwood. In a five-set showdown, Seaman led the Tritons with 44 assists and two serve aces. In addition to her offensive play, Seaman also contributed with three blocks. The 3-2 win over Kirkwood sent Iowa Central to a perfect 11-0 conference record and stole the top spot in the standings. This season Seaman is fourth in the country in assists with 1210, good for 10 assists per set – sixth-most among players with 80 or more sets played this season.

Talya Sampson – Iowa Central – Sophomore – Outside Hitter
Iowa Central's outside hitter Tayla Sampson stepped up in a big way this past week as Iowa Central took down No. 1 Kirkwood. Sampson, in addition to her offensive firepower, was a huge player on defense with 17 digs and eight blocks to deny the Eagles. Not only was Sampson dangerous on defense, but also on offense with 25 kills, averaging five per set. She totaled 31 points to lead all scorers. On the season, Sampson leads the NJCAA Division II in kills with 607, 4.86 per set. Iowa Central sits atop the ICCAC standings and looks to win their seventh regular season title in the past eight seasons.
